Morticia and Gomez Addams, at least from the 60s/90s versions are iconic for being a deep opposite of tv married couples ¯\(ツ)/¯ rapturous monogamous love can totally be a kink.
Fidelity means not cheating, itdoesnt have anything to do with partner count, and is not synonymous with monogomay. You can be in a poly relationship, and practice fidelity by not cheating on your poly partners.
We're not into that type of relationship personally and prefer it unrestricted/non-exclusive. That is where we were drawing our definition of fidelity from in this case. Apologies for the confusion.
Poly works for some people. It doesn't work for everyone. Is it anarchy if we're expecting people who genuinely prefer monogamy to participate to be valid in their love too?
No beef here, but poly doesn't work for everybody, and that's fine.

I thought fetishes are things which deviate from the baseline. Maybe we've come full circle.

I thought they were so cringe when I was younger, but the older I get the more I realize they are living the dream.

Some of these, yes. But not fidelity. We love love that is free to experience it with whoever they want. Polyam and Relationship Anarchy FTW!

Yes and no. There's polyfidelity which means:
"Polyfidelity is a type of non-monogamous relationship in which all members are recognized as equivalent to the other partners and comply to restrict sexual and romantic relationship activities to exclusively only other members within the group."
We're not into that type of relationship personally and prefer it unrestricted/non-exclusive. That is where we were drawing our definition of fidelity from in this case. Apologies for the confusion.

Yes, which is why we were specifically talking about ourselves.

We don't think we implied anything about the time we or anybody else who is polyamorous or relationship anarchist likes to be with others.
We have no deisre to give up on our current relationships of that kind, just we have more than one of them.
Edit: Nor did we imply how 'bonded' we are to any of them.
Edit 2: It seems not all penguins are bonded for life either: https://www.sciencealert.com/shock-discovery-reveals-penguins-dont-mate-for-life-after-all
