

Just moved my space shuttle set after it sitting on a shelf for a coupe of years and noticed that exactly 3 pieces have turned kind of yellow-ish.
Especially the one on in the wing seems odd. Anyone knows what causes this?

Apparently this is just due to the inscosistencies in the manufacturing process. You can see in the wing photo other blocks also at varying degrees of yellowing

It's probably somehow a slightly different plastic so differently susceptible to yellowing

It can be even worse. One of our club members built a model for an exhibition and bought a large amount of white 1x4 directly from LEGO for this. A few months later, a few of those bricks turned yellow, while the rest is still white.
I have no idea why LEGO QC still does not get this under control, the issues with white are there for years now.

I had this on my Death Star II back in the day. Keep meaning to find replacement bricks for the discolored ones
