Unintentional misogyny found me today.

You guys (gals). Today one of the managers of the BUSINESS I CO-FOUNDED, purposely did not add me to a meeting that was for executives because he did not believe I was considered part of the executive team. To be fair, the misogyny was unintentional. But still.

Does this happen to anyone else?

What kind of bullshit excuse is that?

Hope he is being repremanded for that, because that's insanely offensive.

I called him out in front of everyone. He won't make that mistake again. With me or anyone else. 👍

It still sucks when it’s not intentional. I haven’t founded a business, but I sometimes get left out of high level meetings on projects that I’m leading.

All. The. Time.

When I was doing marketing for tech companies in Ottawa people would have meetings about projects I HEADED without bothering to invite me. I quit one job over the frequency of this. And then they were all so surprised at my leaving because it "came out of the blue".
