If I have a chance, I’ll have to go back and look for it. It should have eventually shown up at federate.social. I didn’t see it, but it may be there somewhere. I don’t have any sort of admin privileges for the instance where I call home on Mastodon, and I don’t know enough about ActivityPub to know under what circumstances messages fail to propagate. If I can’t find it, I might ask Dave (who operates it) if he’s willing to do a little digging.
An old friend, a System 360 sysadmin at the time, had had a brutal day with the systems he managed crashing left and right. Later, over beer, he looked at me dolefully and said,
“Any society that depends on computers is doomed!”
