Well said. This bears repeating over and over.

That is like saying everyone who wants to change races so they say they are black & demand everyone acknowledge them for the race they want to be, else they are harming all black people. People are forgetting the significant historical & medical contexts of words. If you want male/female to no longer be words used by doctors when identifying sex at birth then demand they change it because history offends you, but then don't demand that everyone use those terms as well because you want everyone to deny reality with you rather than accepting it.

Also, there is plenty of research about competitive sports & biological differences. If you want to solve that then work on some common sense rules rather than calling everyone bigots. All these extreme positions are doing is pushing people away from actual progress, like respecting people for what they choose in terms of what things they like. Men can be feminine & women can be masculine, but it still doesn't change the sex they were born with, and it isn't healthy either to not be able to accept it & demand everyone deny that.

So why not come up with other words that don't have significant historical & medical contexts, and accept them as identifying how you are in terms of the things you like & don't like, and that way when someone calls a biological man a man or a biological female, a woman, you aren't offended that people won't change the history of words for you.
