She doesn't brandish the bottle at all. She picked it up and stood still, in a defensive posture. Which is fully understandable since he's assaulted her twice already.
I spend way too much time yak-shaving with emacs :D Besides, I'm most comfortable and productive with the vim way of doing motions/verbs, and when I tried evil-mode it was just subtly different enough to keep tripping me up.
The main point was that people who shout "Nazi" wouldn't recognize literal Hitler quotes right in front them. I can play a "Hitler or " quotes game all day.
That's one of many conclusions that can be drawn from the fact that only one person engaged with your comment. It's just as valid to conclude that people who read it recognised it but didn't respond.
I understand your point, I just don't think it's held up by anything that's happened here. I also think it's a diversion from the main topic: a neovim maintainer doubled-down on siding with the racist idealogue DHH.
I haven't called DHH a Nazi. I'm perfectly content to call him a racist, because he says racist things and espouses racist views. It doesn't bother me if people do call him a Nazi, because to me his views and rhetoric are just as abhorrent even if they are not technically all tenets of National Socialism. Debating whether he meets all the criteria for being a Nazi or a Christian Nationalist or a Fascist is a distraction from acknowledging that the things he says have real, negative and dangerous consequences for marginalised people.
Over the past few years? I know they've been around for over a decade, but Pallbearer are still pretty current and their most recent album really hit home.
Along with them, there has been a really good surge of death/doom bands such as Fossilization, Krypts, Spectral Voice and Tomb Mold.
Not directly related to the article but I want to acknowledge that that I've seen your posts in my subscribed communities recently and I appreciate and enjoy (is "enjoy" the right word when you read something that resonates with you, even if the subject is challenging?) them. Thank you.
Back on topic, I grew up in a home where the division of household labour was very uneven. It was not a happy home.
It's actually quite reassuring to see how many people are in favour of removing the endorsement. However, I'm deeply disappointed in the core maintainer's initial reaction and ongoing doubling-down.
This is enough to make me drop neovim: if a maintainer behaves this way then I have no confidence that they will act in the best interests of marginalised community members.
I am heartbroken this is happening all over again.
I don't think so. There is still an open issue for RCS support and the changelog for this release doesn't mention RCS at all.
I forgot about Icecast! I'll check those stations out, thanks for the recommendation.

The guy is the aggressor.
She doesn't advance with the bottle once she has it. She's grabbing it for defense.
I'm sorry where do you see her attacking him?
Yep it took me ages to work it out.
Use a double space at the end of a line
like this.
Oh I'll definitely try that out!
I love making a huge batch of chili. It's great for hosting friends or freezing and having later.
Basically I enjoy anything that takes a long time to cook and where I can play around with incrementally adding things to bring out flavours.

I appreciate emacs, but it's not my preference.

Drawing that conclusion from your comment's only response being one upvote is a leap.
As an OG Type O Negative fanboy I'm always going to pick the original 😏 but the Pallbearer cover is a great homage.

Nobody attacked him. He doubled down first and then cried victim when people pointed out how suspicious his doubling-down looked.
And I hope your situation is better now, too <3

Yeah that'd be a lot of fun!
My mind immediately went to Evil Dead/Spongebob crossover
