I lived in Belgium during the latter half of my teenage years, and there was quite an active doom scene in the country at that time. In particular there was (and still is) a prolific musician there called Stijn Van Cauter, who has a huge number of musical projects.
One of my favourites is a funeral doom project called "Until Death Overtakes Me" (named after a My Dying Bride) lyric. So lately I've been listening to their first album: Absence of Life (2001).
