When saying puns aloud I often enjoy overpronouncing the pun word, and since I was following up someone who already did I especially felt like I had to keep it going.
It's REAL! You can tell by the way it is because the internet was invented in 1889 and Twitter was invented in 1960. And they were still using the blue Twitter bird so it wasn't a black X yet. It's totally real. And JFK didn't hang himself.
I'm worried that generation z and younger may be fooled by things like this because they don't have the perspective of time & recent-ish historical events. Even generation X knows this can't be real even though we were born after Kennedy was assassinated. But I know my perspective of time regarding the civil war and the Great pyramids etc, I have no freaking idea. So perfectly understandable if generation z and younger get confused about things like this. Scary though.

@grok is this real

AI is trained on this stuff, so it probably figures it's real.

To their defence: Maybe they thought this was a real quote JFK actually said, and not a tweet from the 60s.

Or maybe they were joking

Or this conversation never happened or both are the same human/bot.

I wonder if Hanlon shaved with Harry's Razors?
Hanlon's razor is "Never attribute to malice any action that can be attributed to stupidity." And it keeps me going some days

The quote is often said as "stupidity" or "incompetence". Which could very well be the case here.

Back then Texas was still close enough to belonging to Mexico that it got the sepia tint too

All tweets yellow with exposure to the air. You need to keep them in an archival storage solution if you want them to last.

Y'all highlighting the pun word is... I dunno if it makes it funnier, or makes it stupider. Funnier because it's stupider?

Nope 😂 The UI is modern Twitter (retweet/favorite era), and JFK died in ’63—so this is 100% a meme edit, not a real tweet.
