My old Thinkpad X200T rotates like that, but it doesn't need any motors to do it. Motorizing it seems like it's just adding more points of failure for no good reason.

More points of failure means more chances to overcharge for repairing it! Big brain move here!

And more to charge for upfront!

The laptop is expected to have a 14 inch, 2880 x 2800 pixel OLED touchscreen display with a 120 Hz refresh rate...

Square aspect ratio (nearly) gang!

I suspect this is just a typo, since it's not consistent with the aspect ratio depicted in the mockups. But it would be rad if weren't. And preferably without the stupid display hinge motor.

That laptop is just one gigantic piece of e-waste.

My 2013 Fujitsu Lifebook does this and has an Ethernet port, five USB ports, two headphone jacks, and a stylus. Seems like a downgrade ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

There are lots of swivel laptops. This one is a motorized swivel laptops. Nobody has done this before because it's a uper dumb idea.

Yea, I though Lenovo did this years ago?

Compaq TC1000 vibes (from 2003)

That's how I usually type on a laptop

The rotation is the wrong way. I'd want the screen to rotate to portrait mode.

Stop trying to turn laptops into tablets

Love my yoga.

I don't use it as a tablet much, but being able to flip the keyboard away so I can just watch stuff is nice. Or if I'm conferring with someone the tablet mode is great (touch screen with stylus).
