IIRC the drawing on the right won some competition for being the best drawing. If not, it should have.

I often think about people who come in second in competitions to kids with objectively worse submissions who only won because it's heartwarming. Like yeah I get it, but man it's gotta suck to put in all that effort.

Nah, like if you pushed the contrast as far as possible in Photoshop you would just get basically a black and white image of the most extreme parts of the original.
