Quite a few flag on here are just two colors. Japan, Israel, Greece to name a few. As you say, many flags are missing.

You’re reading it wrong: the axis is tilted slightly, so red and white are diagonal.

Ah, I see it now, but this is weird. Red and blue are at 60 degree angle, but white is read at 90.
I guess it's still the same angle relative to each of axes, but yeah, that's confusing. Thanks for explaining.
