Yeah I think they select the cheapest license and play those on repeat instead of shuffleing everything

I switched to Deezer on a whim like 2 or 3 years ago and never went back. It has its own baggage, but little annoyances like the shuffle thing don't happen anymore.

youtube does this too, which I am pretty sure is just a result of a dumb bug rather than trying to avoid licensing costs. Very annoying that I can't listen to my 1300+ song playlist of every piece of music I have ever listened to and identified on shuffle
