Some things I have observed since upgrading:
- Mute controls on videos don't work in fullscreen on iOS
- When I leave app and come back on iOS sometimes the whole UI shrinks down about 10% and has a border around it
- Other times I come back to a frozen blank screen and have to restart
Is there a way to downgrade again?

The UI shrinking was reported by someone on Android a while back, and others chimed in saying they saw it.
The next update added that to iOS. So I guess we’re At least getting bug parity

Sounds like it wasn’t a clean update. I haven’t had any problems, I didn’t even realize the app had updated.
What happens after you delete the app, redownload, and sign in again? What happens after you restart the phone?

The first 2 issues have been reported by many users so it's not only me. Third might have been an anomaly.

On my device, iPhone 16 Pro Max on iOS 26.1, none of the video controls work any longer. Mute, pause, scrolling on the timeline. Checked after a reboot and no change, replicable on any video that uses the player in Voyager so far
Consistently not working for me on this post: https://kbin.earth/m/cat@lemmy.world/t/2284260

Same on Android

The border bug is known but seems to be extraordinarily difficult to reproduce/fix. But the developer is on it. I guess help is really appreciated here.

I am sure it has to do with round screen borders/camera notch

What I just noticed is that it seems to exclude subscribed communities when browsing "local". Because I sort posts by new I just noticed that none of the posts I was seeing in the home feed was present in the local feed. Of course l'm talking about of the communities in my instance.
Is that expected behaviour? If it is I would understand the logic behind it and I'm actually ok with it. But it seems weird.
