$64 billion of data center projects have been blocked or delayed amid local opposition

TL;DR: $64 billion in U.S. data center projects have been blocked or delayed by a growing wave of local, bipartisan opposition. What was once quiet infrastructure is now a national flashpoint — and communities are pushing back.

Glad to see this sort of information out there.

Nitpick: I don't like their usage of the term NIMBY to describe opposition to these sorts of projects. A giant-ass McMansion homeowner objecting to ADUs or apartments nearby is not at all the same as a community objecting to fucking gas turbines being installed and polluting their atmosphere all while electricity and water usage goes through the roof.

A small win, but don't focus on the battle... focus on the war.

Been screaming that these DCs are a failure of local governments. Voters need to hit city council meetings and scream. If any DCs come near my region, they local politicians will have my name and face tattooed on their ass.
