If a company makes a rewards/points program but then makes it difficult to use the points/rewards the company is garbage as are the execs in that company.

Want me to stop shopping at your company? Make a crappy rewards program

When I shopped at Gamestop all throughout my teens and early 20s, I was of course a "Pro Member" (their name for the rewards/magazine program). Unfortunately somehow that rewards number got tied to either an ooooold email or an incorrect one, and I tried countless times to try and fix it. Their website sucked, their customer support for rewards was nonexistent, and the most annoying thing was when I went into a store and bought something. The employees would be shocked at how many points I had, and just say "call the home office" every time I told them I could not access my account and points.

Other people probably had a normal experience, but I just wanted to share my rewards program anecdote to your opinion :)

Not an unpopular opinion at all, trust me. ;)

"Rewards" are mostly fake anyway. No way a company is giving you out something for free, so "rewards" are just something that you (over)paid in advance, either with money or data.
