This is the first I've heard of this movie. For a second I thought they were tracking the one from the 90s with Jon Voight and Jennifer Lopez.

I saw it yesterday. It's a fun movie. I'm glad I watched the original Anaconda beforehand. Jack Black plays a similar role as his Be Kind Rewind character. I don't think the framing device can hold sequels, but I guess it works for the Scream movies.
Re-watched the original for the first time since I was a kid. My favorite part was when

Ice Cube says "Bitch" after killing the anaconda.

I mean, it's not. It makes fun of the idea of reboots. It's a goofy comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously.
