They are late, but this upgrade seems reasonable and if reuse of the upper stage will ever become economically viable remains to be seen.

IMO this sounds either just like another powerpoint, or a political maneuver by Maia Space to get more entangled with ArianeGroup in order to get money.

I mean, Maia Space is nowhere close to launching their vehicle, and they want to make a Frankenstein version of their booster for Ariane 6? That just sounds like a nightmare.

I hope I'm wrong…

It doesn't seem crazy for ArianeGroup to want to switch from a booster from Avio to a booster from their own subsidiary.

Taking a look at Ariane development history, that shouldn't be a problem, lol
