When you are a penny stock trader, you basically are doing stocks for poor and low-income people. Imagine trying to break into the finance world, and all you do is penny stocks for fucking poor people.
Feel bad for them.

Tell me you don't know what penny socks are without saying you don't know what a penny stock is.

What are penny stocks?
surewhynotlem@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 147d
Very cheap stock, sometimes not even on the "stock market" (exchanges). They're very risky because the price changes are huge. E.g. if it goes from $0.02 to $0.04, that's double your money.
But similarly it can drop fast. It's hard to sell because not many people trade them (i.e. they're not liquid).

thanks, is it something worth paying attention to, or it is basically gambling?
surewhynotlem@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 147d
To me it's gambling. If you put in the time to really understand the company and think it's going to grow, it could be worth it. But these are tiny companies, so there's a lot of uncertainty.
