Some server's bake texture packs into their gameplay. This definitely isn't MC's default texture. Its been a second since I played so I could be wrong. Also the torch textures look really cool!
It's better than vanilla Minecraft in every way I can think of (prettier, more variety, more fluid, better controls and movement) but it's pretty much exactly the same game.
It's like how Drive Beyond came out after Long Drive, where they're practically both the same game just with some graphical and build changes to make it into a more Game-like fleshed out game
