Context: when asked how he felt about JK Rowlings transphobia he said

One thing: When a woman who was once a man is competing against women who have always been women, I think she has an advantage, because she inherited a man's body, which is usually bigger and stronger than a woman's Does that prove phobia?"

and

I want to be a Cambodian police woman, is that allowed?

Maybe instead, Cleese should consider that, as a writer, one must take responsibility for one's work, even if that work is intended to be comic, that does not inure the writer from consequence or criticism.

This guy is as big as a dick as Chevy Chase.

Every three months it's some quotable outrage.

I'd say he is a product of his time, but my father is from the same time period and displays none of this shit, even with off hand comments. Part of his philosophy is "What you do, if it harms no one, is on you. None of my concern." He doesn't totally understand but understanding is not required to respect that person or their choices.

Being living proof of that does not make it right, John

Me thinking someone is a dickhead doesn't mean I'm offended. It just means I think you're a dickhead, John.

WTF?!?

This post is highly offensive to me!

EDIT: I think the downvotes make the joke funnier by being offended about someone offended about being offended.

Not sure whether to upvote you because I got the joke, or downvote you for comedic effect

But do you feel a sense of moral superiority as well?
