I wasn't quite expecting this. It's not like McDermott was the one turning over the ball.

I'm not sure that this is a good move. He has been pretty consistently good, with a win/loss record with the Bills of 98-50. There's a lot of teams that would kill for that.

I am not sure how simply changing the HC would really change how the team is built. If anything, I would have fired the GM before the coach, but I guess Beane is getting a promotion out of all this.

Wrong guy was fired. Beane shouldve gone.

Whoa dude; it's not his fault the roster has been bleeding talent for years. He's only the GM! If anything he deserves a promotion; that's the move that terrifies me as a NE fan 🤥

Who’s ready for another 5+ years of the Pats dominating the AFCE! 😎

Those cheaters; always forcing their division rivals into making dumb decisions…

The fans wanted blood and they got it. Wrong guy if you ask me

was McDermott the offensive play caller?

dhork@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 209d (1 reply)

I think the OC (Joe Brady) is the play caller

ah ok, I was thinking that maybe they didn't like how relaxed they allowed Allen to play and wanted more discipline or control over his plays and the HC wasn't doing enough to stop the turnovers.
