They seem to be getting really popular too, a few years ago I might find 1 person on the default channels even in a big city like Boston, but now I'm in the middle of nowhere and there's like 7-10 other nodes online at any given moment using the default frequency / preset. I'm slightly disappointed that nobody seems to chat in the default channel, I guess most people are using it with private channels or to DM each other which makes sense.

The more I see these mesh walkie talkies, the more interesting they are! It looks simple to set up too!

I just got into this myself, set up a node on my roof. Turns out there’s about 100 nodes in my (pretty small) city. A fun diversion for sure.

Any new contacts? I'd always guessed that boats would likely be running nodes.
