I use a vaporizer and I don't care how you hold your joint. Just don't let it fall to the ground, don't burn yourself and you are good.

Lol you can usually tell what people smoked first on how they hold a cig or joint.

I think the reason why most use index/thumb for joints is from manually rolling them vs cigs where there's a filter and such, as it keeps it together better/prevents scooby snacks.
