im the opposite. I was mainly only on for play on discord and I did not have much time for that. I like won't move to a federated version unless it was really mature with rpg communities.

Yeahhh, unfortunately I have friends that I can't talk to anywhere else and won't move. I'm not in the UK so it's not an immediate concern but it seems to slowly be coming for everyone

I have a nice community built on discord, as soon as they announced the age verification thing I made a post.

if they pop up that for me, I’m not coming back to discord, here is other ways to contact me. I added a matrix server and signal chat, etc as a list of alternatives.

My producer already dropped Discord in 2020. We said bye-bye to that social credit score-infested, digital ID-ridden slopfest. It actually was bad from the beginning.
