The welded metal - it could've been a playground. Or somebody built a dome like that for different purposes (I've seen a hothouse one, and then people have all sorts of esoteric theories about these shapes). Abandoned in any case, and of course I have no idea where it is.

My initial reaction is "old abandoned playground climbing dome" but those tend to have triangular holes.
There's an older, somewhat rundown, playground a few miles from us and the vibe it gives off is pretty cool, even if it's also sad.
