Only advisement if can provide is to not expect too much from any sports communities. NBA might be different than my main 2 (NFL & NHL) and be more engaging but in general the overall opinion of sports on lemmy is bleak at best. I've even made posts a long long time ago in a lemmy galaxy that is far far away, that regarded sport's fandom. The response was kinda mixed initially, then moved more and more cynical as time progressed.
