There's nothing Disney can do to change their image of a greedy company.

They could release all their assets to the public domain after 20 years, stop going after people for fair use of their IP, charge street pricing at their parks, and make sure the people that actually do work at the company are paid well enough to live nicely regardless of their exact JD.

They won't, but they could.

But if they did that it would mean less dividends for the shareholders. Please, someone think of the shareholders.

They actually can't. It's not a private company and they have a legally binding fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders.

They actually can. They just have to convince their shareholders that those pro consumer changes would cost less in enforcement battles and increase revenue by bringing in more customers.

I'd be more likely to stop boycotting Disney if they made those changes and I'm not alone in that.

Unfortunately we're a minority. You can tell by the profits.
