[Repost] How to get Wapuro Romaji (A kind of Japanese Typing) on Linux Mint Cinnamon?

I followed the written tutorial in the settings but I still don’t know if there’s Wapuro Romaji and often when I try to test the layout it snaps back to English or doesn’t seem to write any different from the english keyboard and if everything does work it seems to delegate individual Kana to keys & I’m not very comfortable with that way of typing.

I think for cjk typing you can use fcitx5 with the input method engine corresponding to your language. have a look here

EDIT: actually the arch wiki has a good writeup on this

@Geodes_n_Gems
#ibus #anthy is always a solid choice, that's what I've used for years. If for some reason you can't use ibus, #scim had been my goto for the past couple decades.

these days I've been using #fcitx5 with #mozc on #hyprland and find it quite nice, feels very familiar.

I decided to FCTIX5 x MOZC combo & it's working out! ありがと!
