Super Bowl ads haven’t been good in a long time, most of them are just normal commercials now.

I really hate how movie trailers, which was a big deal at one point, are all just, short and "Watch the full thing on Youtube".

I mean, all "its dumb to want to watch ads" aside, I am here to actively watch your ads people.

Also, YouTube typically puts up preroll ads on trailers - you literally have to watch an ad before you're allowed to watch the ad

*most of them are just ai slop now

Catoblepas@piefed.blahaj.zone · 23 pts · 212d (1 reply)

Will they feature this magnificent owl everyone keeps referencing?

Chivera@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 211d

Some would call them superb.

madjo@piefed.social · 6 pts · 212d

Even YouTube doesn't want to pay to say superbowl

birdwing@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 6 pts · 212d

I prefer AdS (anti-deSitter space).

cupcakezealot@piefed.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 209d

google trying to manufacture peer pressure for watching ads so some people will buy the featured products and/or services, so more advertisers are interested in buying ad space from google

QuinnyCoded@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 207d (1 reply)

they used to be pretty unique, but now it's just slop

Smorty@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 1 pts · 206d

I dont think it was slop, it was companies advertising slop-producing products, no?

i feel theres a difference...

havent actually seen the ads btw, just heard about what they were about.
