It does not make any sense for me anyway to censor TikTok.
Tiktok makes money from ads, so they censor content to conform to what their customers want their ads associated with.
Coke* doesn't want their ad associated with a naked person demonstrating the latest in dildo technology.
The censorship is not to protect the children. Tiktok doesn't give any more of a shit about kids than any other company. It's to protect their revenue.
* I don't know if Coke advertises on Tiktok. They're just the first brand I thought of who would probably object to the pairing.
The big problem is going to be the money needed for infrastructure. Banks and venture capitalists are notoriously conservative. So unless someone with money and a taste for NSFW gets involved any such thing is going to die pretty quickly due to bandwidth fees and content management, as even if you allow NSFW, you have to make sure it isn't illegal NSFW.
One is for parents to set parental controls on phones and computers. But parents are either too stupid or they don't care enough to do so.
Option 2 is to collect identification from all TikTok users. Do you want TikTok to know your actual name? Do you want TikTok to have your government-issued ID stored somewhere so it can be taken in a data breach?

If it hasn't happened yet, it's probably just a matter of time until someone creates an NSFW loops instancce.

Depends on the actual content you want.
If it just porn then xfree is one way to go.

I just want normal content, but with NSFW allowed.

How about the fact it's primarily used by kids?
Beep@lemmus.org · -3 pts · 216d
Block kids from viewing TikTok then?
You don't censor the whole Internet to keep the kids safe. You block the kids and keep the internet uncensored.

The app is literally made for kids and idiots.

There are two ways to keep kids off of TikTok.

That's basically all I've ever used Twitter for - and still do.
