Buyer beware. Years ago, Brax was selling end-of-life Pixel 3s (with a degoogled OS) and not letting his customers know these devices would not be receiving security updates.
Until the day I die, I will associate "Brax" with "scammer".
Think about how long that paper has been sealed up in the plastic wrap. Germs and bacteria can survive for a limited amount of time. I submit anything on the paper towel is dead.
Even if multiple people are online at the same time: why is time inconsistent (the sun is up in one place while it’s dark in another), you can ask friends what time it is in where they live (internationally) but receive different responses based on their surroundings. This person states it’s 08:00 while you reply it’s 23:00 on the same day with one difference: they’re starting the day while you’re about to finish it moving to another.
I use main, that's it. No second profile, no private space.
Nearly all apps installed respect my privacy. Two apps installed that aren't great for privacy. They stay disabled until I need them, then they get disabled again.
Now, if I had a Google, Facebook, etc accounts, those would be in their own profiles.

I tweaked several settings in the OS.
Under Mobile Data for the app I allowed "background data" and "unrestricted mobile data usage"
And under battery "unrestricted" and "allow background usage".
After all that I can't keep the app running. 🤷
Odd as that's one of the main reasons to use a vpn - bypassing geoblocking.
I disagree. Someone with a lot of cats is crazy, not nuts. As in "crazy cat-lady". /s
One of the most accurate political memes I've seen in a while.
A VPN gets around the block. I change locations when I'm blocked.
I tried this a couple of months ago. The app will not stay running in the background on Android.
Not running, not scanning.

The only problem is people using LLMs and AIs.
Thanks for the link.
Thanks.
Searching for "modern apps" didn't work. I check the Github and found the devs name. Using that as a search worked.
"In a post on social media, the organization said it is “well into the process” of converting the messaging app ..."
No link provided to the thread on whatever social media site GOS used to announce this.
What are MA apps?
This is scary shite. In an apartment, your neighbor's tv could be recording your conversations through the wall.
😁😁😁

This is the price of living on a oblate spheroid.

But reading and looking at the instructions is basic knowledge for an engineer.
The bootloader can be unlocked, doesn't clarify if it can be relocked. An unlocked bootloader is a security problem.
We have no information about the degoogled OS. What happens when an app needs Google Play Services? Does the OS have a Sandboxed version or microG?
The project is too short on details for me to give an informed opinion.
