And this one is relatively modern. The artist only started putting them up in 1994.

started putting them up

So there's a bunch of them scattered across the city, helping out where they can?

I have to visit. Luckily I'm only a few hours away, yeah!

Why wouldn't you want water in the canal?

If you are in a boat going down the canal the water from the drainpipe can spill onto your head and/or genitals.

Maybe it's just a strange angle on that photo, but I struggle to imagine how someone could fit a boat under the section of bridge where that pipe comes down!

The angle in this photo is indeed odd, but also the only time I ever taken a boat on the Binnendieze was in a fairly small boat with only a few other tourists and a guide. I might misremember, because it has been a few years, but there were some moments we had to mind our heads.

Maybe it's a really low boat.

(Also it's probably a strange downward angle.)

The world would be a little better with more whimsy.

Where does it leave the iguana?

Is it just peeing on everyone instead?
