In KDE Plasma 6.6 Spectacle can read texts from screenshots, a new on-screen keybord is available for testing, a first-time wizard was added, current theme can be saved as a new global theme, emoji selector got a new easier skin tone selection, you can now connect to a Wi-Fi network via a QR code, application sound volume can be changed by scrolling over a taskbar button via mouse, and there is much more.

Its always so amusing to read the improvements and see how they are genuinely making the desktop better for users, and then compare to what windows is doing.

KDE plasma: A random contributor helped implement a nice little feature that somehow makes you 20% more attractive, nice!
Windows: We've killed your cat and replaced it with an AI-generated version that will forever occupy a fourth of your screen.

I'm really hoping they add a bunch of shit to the taskbar in 6.7. Maybe the start menu can show some ads, too?? That would really help the users

Might have felt awful to write but it made me laugh out loud
I'm running Fedora and feel like a huge dork typing any KDE name in the start menu

One thing I miss from Windows is the Meta+. key combo to pop up the emoji selector, and then clicking to insert.
I don’t like how it currently just puts it in the clipboard an expects me to manually paste it in, interrupting my flow when I have something more important in my clipboard.

Just making sure you're up to date with meta+v as clipboard manager (your important stuff in your clipboard isn't lost)

Loading this page on Firefox mobile crashes Firefox. Every time I try and open it. Is this happening for anyone else ?
It also crashes Voyager if I open the link directly without going "open in Firefox"
