Standing by for "Chinese memory is spying on you, don't buy it".
If this memory is high quality, it will become very popular with consumers and still have high prices. No reason to lower it a lot for consumer market if they are alone there. Maybe make it 10% cheaper.
Yeah. I think hacker news has some decent ideas about how to manage these things. You can ask chat gpt about some details to get the idea, but I think its something along the lines of users not being able to affect a discussion with voting until they have some sort of reputation. And I believe that reputation has to come from reactions by the community.
I think if you ask chat gpt about that and have a discussion, some good ideas could surface. They have karma but it's a ladder system where users get more options only after contributing successfully to the community, not just by time.
I think you shouldn't have removed it because saying something is stupid is not ableism.
Anyway, most people like piefed and I think its great with many alternatives. In a project like this you will get many opinions. Listen to the ones that make sense and ignore the ones that are stupid. Yes, I called something stupid. It's not ableism for gods sake.
I think your attitude score is stupid. But that's my opinion and in the end it's up to you, since it's your software. It's fine. Your intension is to create better discussions which is good. How to do it is not so easy.
I agree about the attitude score he calculates but saying the word stupid is ableism is silly.
Think about it. If you are stupid, and nobody can tell you that, you get a society full of very stupid people.
Humans do stupid things and we should tell eachother. It's fine if someone thinks I'm stupid. It's an opinion, and I want to live in a society where people are allowed to have that opinion.
Yeah I would go as far as saying that when you have more than enough money, you just notice your account going up and down but it has no effect on your daily life and your ability to pay your bills.
If you don't have enough money, any small extra cost can mean you have to make difficult choices right away.
I guess the headlines are ragebait since so many people don't have enough money these days. It makes sense to get pissed off about reading it.
If you ever had millions in the stock market and seen it go up and down enormous amounts each month, you actually don't care so much. The only thing that matters is where it will be in the future. And Musk definently thinks like that. You have to, otherwise the stock market will ruin you.
Its competely unavoidable that a stock goes up and down a lot for a company like Tesla.
That being said, Musk has been nervous before when the stock has halfed in value very quickly. Like anyone would.
Also keep in mind that this is not money that Musk needs. It can go up and down or whatever, doesn't affect him as long as it's not permanent.
They didn't drop on bubble fears I think. The memory and disk stocks dropped because a competitor showed up, I think it was Chinese but maybe Korean. And they have gotten back up again quite a lot.
Nvidia dropped because of circular financing worries. They agreed to back a massive open Ai datacenter in exchange for OpenAi putting Nvidia chips in there.
So there is a lot going on, but I dont think investors agree it's a bubble. These datacenters are sold as being for chat gpt but I think investors know that it's about watching every human being on the planet. And there will be a lot of revenue from providing the infrastructure and processing for that.
In a decade, I believe we have smart glasses and robots who are connecting to these datacenters, together with connected cars and all kinds of stuff. They will literally be the nerve system for connecting everything, including the monitoring in real time of everyone.
There will be Ai's connected to eachother through these datacenters, communicating at super fast speeds, each one being trained for a specific purpose.
I dont really have much sympathy. This is something she is doing to herself because she is dumb. Probably lots of people tried to talk her out of it but she doesn't listen.
Some people have to have their own misery to learn from it.
Oneplus 13 has two day battery life for me. Best phone I've ever owned. But I heard they are not going to release oneplus phones in Europe anymore so that sucks a lot. I dont want anything else.
It really isnt better than reddit unfortunately. But it depends what you are looking for. If you want to find a replacement for a popular reddit community here, you are out of luck most of the time. But if you are happy with memes, you will like this place. Its chill and relaxed and has humor and no algorithms.
I think its a good move. Memory will be required for virtually everything going forward. Robots, implants, gadgets, cars, you name it.
Yep. Almost all cloud machines are Linux. Does not mean that desktop market is.

I'm sure you are not alone thinking this. :)

I'm making chili con carne for like an hour, letting it really cook in all those nice spices.

Well one part of that is true at least.

Give it time. In Britain they have police knocking on doors for what people write online.
I'm always logged in anyway. Not sure if there is a downside to not allowing anonymous users. Not sure what that would be.
