Reminds me of an actual anime I can't remember the title of where a kid attends a farming school, and every episode is basically him having an ethical dilemma over the mistreatment and murder of animals and his conclusion every time is that the animals are too delicious NOT to kill, oh well, and he eats a big bowl of pork.
That's right up there with the 'Bartender' Anime out there right now, where every episode is basically an ad for a different mainstream brand of liquor. It's a decent watch, with some good instructions about how to make good mixers, but the level of product placement is just mind-boggling. Maybe that's what's going on here? Japan has quite the beef industry.
I was going to crack a joke about being sent to Sam Hell, but I learned it's actually Sam Hill and I've been mishearing it for the word it's meant to be a euphemism for this whole time.
