I read in a book somewhere that NOAA has the most accurate weather data, and that all other for-profit companies are just piggybacking off their data, but the companies fudge with the numbers a bit so people are less mad in some situations.
For example if there’s a 10% chance of rain per NOAA, a company might report there’s a 40% chance of rain, so you’re less mad and more understanding “we’ll it was 40%” vs “wtf you call this 10% chance?”
I don’t remember a thing about it other than it went on a long time and I was promised someone’s head would get mowed over by a lawnmower, but apparently my sources had their wires crossed.
I do enjoy when access to a specific resource is well written into something just for fun. The show Barry did a whole episode with an incredibly athletic young stunt performer just because they had one and it was one of the best episodes.
I still gave it 5 stars. The raptors in the tall grass, that dude going over the log and the water turning red, the trailer over the cliff. Fun enough for me, but yes, not a great movie by any means.
Or death isn’t even an inconvenience for them. They’re a hive mind and losing one loses nothing. He gets no joy from it and they are but mildly annoyed.
