WSJ lawyers argue Trump's past public comments are so "bawdy" it's impossible for him to suffer reputational harm from its Epstein coverage

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2026/02/donald-trump-jeffrey-epstein-lawsuit-wall-street-journal-lewd-bawdy/

[I]n the filing, Murdoch et al. argue that Trump is too lewd a person to suffer reputational harm from this story. To prove this, Murdoch relies on the infamous Access Hollywood video in which Trump boasted that due to his celebrity status he could sexually assault women.

Yes, Murdoch, whose Fox News and New York Post provide the most prominent media platforms for slavish Trump worship, says Trump is such a lout that an association with an affectionate note to a sex criminal cannot tarnish his public image.

Yet another in a long parade of confirmations that these fuck heads never cared about children.

They cared about them. Just not in a good way.

Trump is trying the card game spades move called "shooting the moon" but with the toxicity instead instead of cards.

Nobody's called anything "bawdy" since stovepipe hats were in style.

I wish they were back in style

Guess I should start adding some antibiotics to my diet until that clears up.

Might as well go for broke and get a monocle while you are at it. On a chain connected to your belt of whatever.

Can't deny it can be a sick look, but I don't want to emulate the hoity toities too much. Stovepipe is relatively common and everyday wear (in its time) as compared to the similar but distinctly more formal and upper class top hat

Not to mention he himself said nothing can cause him to lose his support, not even if he killed someone in the middle of 5th Avenue. Are we not to believe him?

I'm suddenly noticing he felt the need to qualify "shoot someone" with "on 5th Avenue." As if he'd already killed someone in secret..

That was one of the few things he was honest about, and why I think the files are the distraction. He knows he won't see any consequences from them.

Truth is an absolute defense against libel, slander, and the like. Just use discovery to dig into the details, subpoena the epstein files themselves. Tell everyone that, use the megaphone from the trial to yell about his connections to prove the point, he will drop the case.

Not only does the Emperor wear no clothes, but he declared that clothes don't exist. And we all clapped.

Speak for yourself I always hated this piece of shit and I could prove it.
