I noticed Lidl Pay today, but it only supports Visa/MasterCard, at least in my country.
My banks don't support WERO yet, but I was wondering if there are any technical impediments to using WERO as a payment method in Lidl Pay.
If not, it seems like an easy win to push Lidl into WERO.

They are already on the move:

Also, Lidl Pay in Germany can already bypass Visa/Mastercard by using instant SEPA payments.

Amazing. Now just need to make their app load faster!

Yeah, it's pretty slow loading, if i go shopping there i open the app when i enter the store to make sure it's open when i need it. But at least it's pretty responsive when loaded.

I would imagine if it is a cheaper option then they will eventually include it

Does anyone know of an alternative to the Google wallet for payments using your phone? I'd rather not have Google know every purchase I make.

There's no good alternative. WERO will be the closest we will get in the near future, but it's not 1-1 match

Check with your bank. Some offer “virtual cards” for their own payment apps. I can at least partially avoid Apple Pay this way.
