Unable to sign in to PieFed on latest TestFlight

I switched from the App Store version to TestFlight, and I’m unable to sign in to PieFed.

Steps:

  1. Tap Settings > Accounts
  2. Enter piefed.ca for the instance
  3. Sign in with my account
  4. “Something went wrong”

Is there something I’m missing? I’ve cleared my cache.

From the logs:

Optional(Unable to decode: {"code":400,"message":"incorrect_login","status":"Bad Request"}

Error: keyNotFound(CodingKeys(stringValue: "site", intValue: nil), Swift.DecodingError.Context(codingPath: [], debugDescription: "No value associated with key CodingKeys(stringValue: \"site\", intValue: nil) (\"site\").", underlyingError: nil))) (Mlem/LoginCredentialsView.swift, attemptToLogin():199)

Thanks for the bug report. It looks like your username or password might be incorrect?

Mlem currently displays "something went wrong" when you get the password wrong for a PieFed instance. This is a bug - for a Lemmy instance, it shows "password is incorrect". I've opened an issue to track this bug: https://github.com/mlemgroup/mlem/issues/2599

Weird. Logged in just fine now. Must have fat-fingered something multiple times in a row.

Thanks for the response! Glad it uncovered something all the same.

Nice, I'm glad you sorted it :)

One more reason to use a password manager.

I use one, I just hadn’t added PieFed to it yet.
