Thanks for the feedback :) We have an issue open for this here, with some discussion. We'd love to implement this, but it's difficult from a technical perspective - the UI framework we're using simply isn't built to support it.
It might be possible, but we're yet to figure it out if so. Hopefully Apple adds proper support in the future.
You might have set comments to “compact”mode at the top of comments settings. It needs to be in “large” mode for the interaction bar to appear. Apologies, we could have made this more clear.
"New Comments" is equivalent to the "Active" sort on the official PieFed frontend.
On Lemmy, "Active" uses a more complicated algorithm that takes multiple factors into account, similar to "Hot". We chose to keep the sort names consistent between Lemmy and PieFed accounts within Mlem. This comes at the cost of being inconsistent with the PieFed frontend.
That's fair :) It's interesting, those features are things I'd never have thought of, but they seem so obvious now. Reminds me to take a look at other clients every now and again. Thanks!
Ah yes I've seen that a couple of times. I remember trying to solve it, but couldn't work it out. Will have another go. Thank you for raising an issue :)
The comment bar colors change along with the theme, which you can set under Settings -> Theme. We don't currently support changing the comment bar colors independently of the theme, and didn't in the past. Some other clients (Arctic, Voyager, Apollo) have this feature. We've got an issue open for it here: https://github.com/mlemgroup/mlem/issues/139
Good point, we'll make the video controls show on tap in the next TestFlight 👍
One other thing I miss from Apollo days is ’drag to scrub’.
In Mlem, you can drag your finger left/right on a video to scrub, and move your finger up/down to change scrubbing speed. I didn't use Apollo, so am not familiar with whether they did it differently. If you'd prefer a different behavior let me know.
This will be fixed in the next TF version :) Sorry it took a while.
The banner is shown at the top of the “about” tab of the community page in Mlem
In Mlem:
Yeah, this is a good idea. We've got an issue open for this here. We'll implement this for the next version of Mlem 👍

Both of these issues should be fixed now. Please let us know if you're still seeing issues
Thanks, this will be fixed in the next version :)
Thanks, we’ll look into these. What sort of issues are you seeing with federated content?

I hope that makes sense :)

This can be found under Settings -> Posts -> Thumbnail. The option only shows if you set it to Compact or Headline mode

Thanks, we weren't aware of that issue. If it's been fixed accidentally, that's great. In what way was the edit screen broken?
Thanks, this will be fixed in the next version 👍

Thanks for the bug report, I’ll look into this.

Glad you like it! Welcome to Lemmy ❤️
