I got zepbound, lost weight, it changed my relationship with hunger and food. Overall an amazing experience on this drug. I wish doctors could give it out to everyone (except like people with eating disorders)
Interesting. It can be very difficult to convince insurance to cover GLP-1s in the US as well. My doctor was determined to debate with the insurance company until they approved it for me.
I didn't realize that countries in Europe are stingy about prescribing it too. Or that you'd be forced to pay American level prices for prescriptions.
Hopefully it'll change some day. But yeah, the stigma found on an institutional level is big regarding a ton of preventative medicine that would be cheaper for society as a whole if covered.
im skinny and NEVER HUNGRY!!!
Its actually not rare for a day to go by without me noticing that I should probably go and eat something or ill just die.
My mom calls me fat, and I say "nuh uh, according to the American standards, I'm just a standard American" (The joke is "Americans are fat", so I did not "get fat", only got a change of citizenship that's all)
(Okay so average weigh for men in China is like 150 pounds according to Google and for US, average for men is like 200 pounds so I just right around 200 pounds. MOM SHUT UP I'M NOT FAT LOLOL 🫠)
That's funny, my best friend growing up was from Taiwan and her dad kept trying to get her to eat more to get fat. "Eat more! Be fat like ike Pei Shin!" (her fat sister).
Is it so different in China or is it just that your mom would complain you were skinny, complain you are fat, complain you are short, complain you are tall?
I know the feeling. It sucks. If you want, I can provide advice, as someone who used to be fat years ago, then lost the weight and kept it off. But if not, I hope my sympathies come through and that you are kind to yourself.

I'm the opposite. I often get reminded that I haven't eaten in a day because my fingers start to go numb and shiver, lol

It costs 500 Euro a month here and insurances refuse to cover it.

Here in Germany the insurances think that being overweight is your own fault, why should anyone help you? Just go for a run 3 times a day!

I wonder if the average height affects the average weight, but I don't know how tall the average Chinese man is.
