I was wondering if anyone here has ever traveled with an RV in Mexico. It looks like there are RV parks there, but from driving in the country, I would think that just navigating the roads in an RV would be especially challenging.
Would you recommend traveling there in an RV? What differences have you seen compared to traveling in the US or Canada?

Haven't been ourselves, but in various clubs we've been in over the years, there have been caravan groups that have gone down. I've seen a lot of reports of others.
Escapees / XScapers have both done them, and I remember from seeing peoples posts at the time that they mostly stayed on highways to the parks.
I followed the folks at the link below for a bunch of years, and they have gone down a bunch over the years, and eventually sold the RV and bought a casita there.
While some of it might be a bit outdated, there should be some good info there. Looks like they took their first trip in February of 2014 (there's an archive on the left side of the site that has things organized by year / month).

I also know that there are some caravan companies that do escorted trips.
