The event doubles output from mining, loot from overland dungeons, Landsraad Mission XP, Faction Reputation gain from Landsraad Missions and House Scrip.
I don't understand what is the point of such event. Even doubled, the yields are progression-based. Landsraad - other side will have the same. To farm Faction Reputation and House Scrip?

I think it's mostly just a response to the exploit that went down earlier this week. A mea culpa of sorts
