Nothing but trucks and SUVs. So fucking sad.

I feel you. The handling of smaller cars and sitting lower to the ground feels much better.

artyom@piefed.social · 9 pts · 189d (3 replies)

Yeah, in addition to the safety and efficiency/cleanliness benefits.

Safety is ehhhh. I drive an MX-5 in the world of giant trucks. I have to drive aggressively just so I can be seen by these assholes.

artyom@piefed.social · 3 pts · 188d (1 reply)

I wasn't suggesting the vehicles are safer to be in in a collision, I'm saying it's safer to be hit by one.

P00ptart@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 188d

Oh I wasn't just saying anything about safety, I'm saying it's scary AF to drive a sports car among these giant pieces of shit. It forces one to drive like an asshole for survival.

Seeing Tesla as the top seller in CA and WA makes me so disappointed.

XeroxCool@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 188d

Outspoken conservatives hate EVs. Outspoken liberals hate Tesla/Musk. Then there's 100 million Americans don't beleive they have power in elections and don't vote. A significant portion of conservative voters don't beleive they have anything to vote for besides "lower taxes". Somewhere in this combination/adjacent group is the group of people who keep buying Tesla and do not give a shit about anything other than flashy tech and/or low fuel costs.

This is complete bullshit.

This is not by state, but it is the top 25 cars sold in the US in 2025.

It will forever irritate me that the "Ford F- Series" includes everything with the F-### badge (which, for the first time I've ever noticed, is stated outright at the bottom). It always seems poised to represent the F-150 daily laptop hauler, but it includes F-250 through F-450 pickups which are more commonly commercial vehicles than private, F-350+ conversion body commercial trucks like dumps and flats, and goes so far as to include F-750s, the biggest ones with air brakes and real 19.5" truck wheels.

Yup, so this is already a biased skewed visualization. Dumb

Why is Michigan a different color than the other Chevy states?
