The radicalization resulting from our bombings will be the justification for the next round of bombings.

We're doing Afghanistan all over again. In 23 years, what crazy shit will they be saying about the people of Iran and their failure to organize a western liberal democracy in the midst of a two decade long air raid.

What fucking radicalisation, the US just proved all their propaganda right

Edit: the whole fucking time they warned as propaganda that the US was going to bomb. Obama and Ahmadinejad de escalated things for a while with international atomics NGOs supervising uranium enrichment... And now this shit? All the previous lies now look like the truth.

Although the US and UK were backing some other form of dictatorship instead of the current theocratic bullshit. Though at the moment you can say the US also has a theocracy with all the shit they're hyping and removing access to legal abortions

The regime wanted war. Somewhere. They didn't care where.

For fascism to stay in power, war is necessary. There must always be an "other." From the capitalist view point, war is great for business. And not just defense contractors. Fracking is profitable again. You have the entire supply chain dedicated to put boots and clothes on soldiers. Scientists and engineers that play ball with the regime will get the funds they want. You have to feed the soldiers. You have to keep draft eligible men in healthy shape.
