One thing I love about lemmy is that everyone follows the programmer sense of logic.

Picard did have some good moments. Most of them in the last season though.

If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.

Get to know yourself and you will automatically get to know the enemy, and will be undefeatable.

This is not what it means, you have to know yourself AND than on top you have to know the enemy.

but in case you are your enemy, knowing one means knowing the other, half the work.

GameOverFlow@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 141d (2 replies)

Oh yes. But if you know yourself I think you can't be your enemy.

elbucho@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 141d

Actually he did have some advice that might be applicable here: There are some roads which must not be followed, armies that must not be attacked, towns that must not be besieged, commands of the sovereign that must not be obeyed.
