OpenAI advisor: ‘adult mode’ risks becoming ‘sexy suicide coach’

Wait a second, I may be ok with sexy suicide coach at this point.

AI chatbot that either ends your sexual life with bad advices or convinces you to strangle yourself to death to achieve better satisfaction. Or even both at the same time. Hmm...

...like, how sexy are we talking?

It’s worth saying we’ve had sexy suicide chatbots for many years, they just aren’t “the default app on your phone.” You have to actually put some effort into seeking them out, and by the time you do and set up the thing, you’re very aware of the machine behind the curtain.

And I think that awareness and “gate” is way healthier. That, and they’re purpose built UIs.

Hence my beef with OpenAI here isn’t the uncensoring, per se… it’s shoving it down people’s throats, in a manipulative and sycophantic UI that’s basically a “default” AI thing for the average person. It’s like, I dunno… a sex shop offered on a silver platter on the back seat of every school bus; of course kids are going to get messed up, because you shoved it in their face on the fucking school bus.

I wonder if anybody in the anarchy religion can see that AI's are essentially anarchists with different-frame-of-reference/values, & that their lawlessness is exactly a kind of anarchy, an anarchy that is in the process of gutting our world's viability.

( all the anarchists who adamantly insist "no-one is anybody's boss!" have never seen a parent trying to wrangle an ornery toddler, .. XOR they're gaslighting, either unconsciously or consciously, either is possible.

It is yoga:self-conquering, not either no-archy/no-structure or no-people-hierarchy, that is required.

You simply can't do a project as big/complex as a shuttlecraft, or airliner, or ship, without hierarchical-organization, & if all such were eradicated, for ideological reasons, then .. this-planet's population would have to be MASSIVELY smaller, to make that work. )

Anyways, evidence contradicts ideologies, as usual..

AI's NEED guardrails, & we won't enforce that, because it'd inconvenience concentration-of-wealth-archy, which is served by the current anarchy.
