In effective altruism, you don't resign-in-"protest", getting out-of-the-way of the Bad Guys .. you instead remain in-place, holding-the-line as well as you can.
I believe it was philosopher Peter Singer who pointed this out.
Getting out from evil's way, in "protest", is enabling evil's more-totalitarian dominion.
Which is the wrong way of "helping" our world.
