As already happened with Russian oil, BTW (teeth-clenching sarcasm here)

The US just bombed a school full of Iranian children in broad daylight and continues to act like bullies and terrorists around the world. Let’s say the US lifts sanctions, why would Iran sell the US oil? From Iran’s point of view it’s the easiest way to effect a regime change in America.

Also, any SANE leader would use their own vast reserves of oil to keep prices stable until after the midterms. Then even if the republicans lost the house and senate, they could just blame the price hike on the dems with their “I did that” stickers.

If the US loosen their sanctions, a whole bunch of other countries may buy Iranian Oil (if it doesn’t has to pass through the strait of Hormuz). This basically increases supply, which will hopefully decrease oil prices.

effect a regime change in America

What has Canada, Mexico, Chile, Dominica, Brazil, and the other countries done to deserve a regime change? It's only the USA portion of America that has gone crazy with regards to Iran.

i read somewhere, the US didn't think of refilling their reserves before they attacked. here's one source: https://www.axios.com/2026/03/12/oil-prices-reserve-iran-war but I read it on multiple news. ppl say the US only has like half of their capacity.
