Meeting up with an old friend. We somehow lost contact, but she contacted me the other day. I was thinking doing the same but never got around because I think I thought she wouldn't want that.
I'm looking forward to it for the energy of being around the people--the hope, the comaraderie. So I'd say there's more to it than just politics. Also, that's probably all a lot of us are planning to do this weekend.
But I agree that it's better to avoid actually discussing politics in this community.
